Q. I have registered and chosen my Loaf name, how do people text me using it?
A. To text a Loafer, its simple: Send a text message starting with the Loaf name of the person you are texting to the Loaf shortcode which is 88845.
Text <Loafname> <Your Message> to 88845.
Make sure you leave a space between the Loaf name and the message. For example:
sam1980 how are you? I enjoyed meeting you last night
This will pass through the Loaf network and be sent to Loaf member sam1980's mobile.
Q. Why am I being asked to validate my phone?
A. We do this to stop people signing up for Loaf using someone elses mobile. The validation is quick and only needed once, you just need to send a text to 88845 with the following message:

Q. Registering is free but what are the hidden costs?
A. There are no monthly fees or subscriptions for having a Loaf name and all texts you receive are free too. The only cost is when you send a message to a Loafer. These costs 25p per message (which includes standard network fees).
Q. Can I send very long messages?
A. Loaf restricts all messages to 160 characters.
Q. Someone keeps texting my Loaf name and I want to block them, is this possible?
a. Yes, simply text 88845 with the message block (Loaf name) where Loaf name is the person you wish to stop texting you. If you want to unblock them, then text 88845 with the message unblock (Loaf name).
Q. Can I use my Loaf name for my business?
A. Absoloutely! Instead of using your real mobile number on your business card or advertisement, you can use your Loaf name instead which allows you to field your calls and, in the event of changing your mobile number, not having to change your printing!
Q. Can I have text messages to my email address instead of my mobile?
A. YES! Within your settings you can set your account to re-direct text messages sent to your Loaf name to your email instead of your mobile! So if you receive a high number of texts or if you are away you can re-direct to your email account!
